Don Upton established Upton Heating & Air Conditioning in 1983. For over 40 years we've been servicing residential clients in Sacramento and San Joaquin County.
During the 1980s and 1990s Don managed dozens of service staff and vehicles daily, operating with only a landline, a dispatch board, and paper invoices. As he aged, he downsized but continued to take calls for his most devoted customers until his mid-80s.
From time to time, he would contact Matthew Hegenbart for help as his sight weakened. Don viewed no one else as more trustworthy with his customers and consequently offered to sell Matt the business for one dollar. In 2014, Matt took control of the company, and the rest is history. Don passed away in 2021.
Upton Air officially became Upton Home Services in 2023. At Upton, we value Don's old school legacy, and as tradesmen, we are in the people-serving business.
